Levi Beers — Context on the 2010 Reporting

As Chief Technology Officer of Pulse Marketing, I designed a marketing engine used to send messages on behalf of clients. I did not hack anyone’s systems, and I maintain that I did nothing wrong.

In 2010, WIRED reported on an FBI investigation involving the company. I was never indicted in connection with that investigation. After several years, the FBI returned my equipment.

I requested that WIRED update its reporting to include these subsequent events, including through communications with its legal counsel. WIRED declined to change the article.
